USANA 2017 Fortune 25 Trip - Man taking a photo of a rhino in Cape Town, South Africa.

25 fortunate USANA Independent Associates earned a spot to explore the beauty and rich culture of South Africa this year for USANA’s 2017 Fortune 25 Trip! On September 26 – October 2, these hard workers stayed in the luxurious One&Only Resort in Cape Town, and either the Sabi Sabi Bush or Earth Lodges. It wasn’t all luxury at 5-star lodges. They traveled dirt roads and knee-high grass in search of elephants, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes and lions with highly trained rangers.

Congratulations to our Fortune 25 Achievers from Australia and New Zealand!

10. Jack the rhino protector

Man standing with South African tracker

Jack is a tracker. He sat on a seat mounted out front of a specially-fitted Range Rover, looking out for wildlife. We were five people in the vehicle, ten pairs of eyes, excitedly scanning the same safari landscape. Yet it was Jack who would invariably spot the animals. “Over there”, “By the big tree”, “Nine o’clock”, “Behind that termite mound”…
Jack used to work in the mines. He sold furniture. He protected the rhinos from poachers…before he became a tracker in South Africa’s Sabi Sabi Game Reserve. He’s been doing this for 11 years. And he’s really good at it. I admire his skill. – Ng Keng Hean 📷 Ng Keng Hean

11. Jack’s special chair

Jack, on his special seat, took us up close with a white rhino.
(Jack is 42 and has four children…”and one wife,” he said. “Some people has two, three, or four wives. Not me, my brother.”) – Ng Keng Hean 📷 Ng Keng Hean

12. Looking forward to another great 25 years of USANA
