Dane Sampson When you’re the best at what you do, you need the best nutrition available, which is why more than 1000 – plus elite athletes back their performances with the global nutritional company, USANA Health Science. With the Rio Olympics around the corner our athletes are 100% confident in USANA to support their recovery and endurance during their most significant and competitive milestone of a life time. This is why USANA is thrilled to welcome rifle shooter Dane Sampson to Team USANA with open arms.

Dane was born in Sydney, Australia and started competing at the age of 12. The sport came naturally to him as a child as his family had a history of sports in a competitive nature. Both Dane’s parents competed in the sport and actually met at a National Championships. Following his parent’s footsteps seems like the logical decision to make at the time. When he took up shooting he was hooked and quite quickly developed a dream of representing Australia at the Olympics.

Dane Sampson “I was 10 years old when I said to my father that I wanted to go to Olympics and be a professional rifle shooter, even though I hadn’t started the sport yet” says Dane.

The now Queenslander, competed at his first Commonwealth Games and reached the finals in all three rifle events. Within no time the rifle shooter was competing at the 2012 London Olympics and finished 37th on the 50 3 position rifle. His determination and hunger to win only grew stronger as one of the national leading rifle shooters; Dane is now set to compete at his second Olympic Games in Rio.

Dane Sampson The highlight of the rifle shooters career includes being a 2 – time Olympian (including Rio). In 2015 the athlete competed in the Oceania Championships and was first in all 3 men’s events, Dane was the first athlete to ever achieve this. The advice Dane wants to give to upcoming athletes is to “set goals for yourself and do not quit until you have done everything you can to achieve it.  Set smaller stepping stone goals to build up to the big dream goals, and think about why you do the sport and what you want from it and the rest of life and be sure to have it balanced.”

Not only does the six-time national Champion follow a balanced diet, and a tone of healthy exercising habits to strengthen his mind, he also combines his efforts with USANA’s VisionexTM , a unique and comprehensive formulation of ingredients to maintain superior eye health. After all our athletes need the best of the best.

Dane Sampson “I am very excited to be joining the USANA team.  As an Olympic athlete I am constantly pushing my mind and body to the limit, with the help of USANA products my training, competition and recovery is better than ever!”

We wish Dane good luck at the upcoming Olympic Games and once again want to give him a very warm welcome to Team USANA.
