Time flies. The second week of January is nearly upon us and most of us haven’t even processed the fact that it’s already 2017! It’s funny how time escapes us so easily. I myself have found that the older I get, the faster time goes by. This mere thought brings a shiver down my spine – and it should have the same effect on you. My whole life, people have been telling me I can do and be anything but it’s only recently that I’ve realised that thought without action is nothing short of a dream. Yes, it’s great to have dreams and aspirations but how many people actually turn their dreams into a reality?
Action is the underlying differentiating factor between an average life and a life worth living. BUT if you want to live the vibrant fulfilled life you’ve always dreamt of, then some changes have to be made now.
There is no set recipe for success however successful people have a lot in common. Firstly, they act on their thoughts, but before they do this they plan ahead. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “jump into the deep end”? This analogy encapsulates all that is success. Those people who act on their ideas either can swim or essentially sink to the bottom of the pool. In the words of Sir Richard Branson “If you spot an opportunity and are really excited by it, throw yourself into it with everything you’ve got.”
You might think luck has a major part to play in achieving success. Well you’re wrong. Successful people position themselves to be more predisposed to success so that they emerge victorious. How do they do this do you ask? It really comes down to knowledge and execution. Become a sponge and soak up all the information relevant to your cause. The willingness to continuously learn and developing a flexible action plan is what sets the winners apart. And above all else – never give up! Unfortunately there is no concrete formula to success. USANA knows this and has carefully selected a line-up of highly influential speakers to share with you their powerful business insights at USANA’s Australian Celebration Event in Melbourne on 12-14th January 2017.
1) James Castrission – Aussie Explorer pushing the boundaries of human endurance.
He and his best friend Justin Jones in 2008 travelled unassisted across the Tasman Sea in a kayak.
He made history in 2012 by completing the longest unsupported polar expedition of all time whilst dragging along a 160kg sled behind him.
His story is one of both physical and mental strength, serving as a prime example of overcoming the seemingly impossible at all odds by doubling down on the one thing he could control – himself. In addition to fighting off great white sharks, battling 10 metre waves, and surviving months in some of the most inhospitable environments on the planet – James is also the author of two bestselling books: “Crossing the Ditch” and “Extreme South”.
2) Katy Duffield – World No. 19 Professional Triathlete
