Australia’s No.2 Table Tennis Champion Heming Hu joins Team USANA!

USANA Australia is excited to officially welcome Olympic Table Tennis Player Heming Hu to Team USANA. Heming Hu began playing table tennis at a very young age. He was fond of the sport at the age of seven, he playing regularly in his family garage and after his brother got involved in the local Dandenong competition he wanted to follow his footsteps. After just missing out on representing Australia at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games he proudly represented Australia at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he finished 9th in both the men’s doubles, 17th in the mixed doubles and 5th in the team event. Most recently he competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics placing 9th out of 16 fellow athletes.

Heming has a strong love for both USANA supplements and his chosen career in sport, so we’ve taken this opportunity to get to know Heming more:

Q:  How do you compare USANA Nutritional supplements to other supplements and products?

A: With USANA’s fantastic and very effective supplements, I was able to gain dramatic improvement in energy level as well as overall well-being. I am extremely glad that I have the best team behind me to help me be at optimal performance levels as much as possible, which positions me very well for the future.

Q: What are your future plans? (Long/short term goals)

A: My future sporting goals are to break into the top100 in the World Men’s Singles Rankings. Additionally, my goals are to make another 2 Olympic Games, medal at the next Commonwealth Games, and become the Oceania Champion in Men’s Singles.

Q: What are some of your most recent career highlights?

Last 64 at 2012 World Junior Championships in Boy’s Singles.

Last 32 at the 2013 Commonwealth Championships Men’s Singles.

Australian National Boy’s Singles Champion in Under 13(2007), Under 15(2007,2008,2009), Under 18(2010) and Under 21(2014,2015).

Australian representative at World Junior Championships (2008-2012), World Championships (2014, 2015,2016,2017).

Current Australian Men’s National Team Player.

Qualifying to represent Australia at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Qualifying to represent Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Australian Top 10 event, Men’s Singles Champion, 2017 Currently ranked No. 2 in Australi.

Q:  How do you manage your busy schedule?

A: Managing my busy schedule and focusing on my goals takes a lot of persistence, will power and organization. I must be writing out plans a lot and really working hard to stick to them!! I absolutely love my sport and it is my love for the sport and desires to reach my goals, as well as knowing how important it is to get my studies done, that keeps me easily motivated and managing my busy schedule. I am currently in my third year at Monash University Science/Education.
